White wines
Our dry white wines are produced from the Welschriesling, Grüner Veltliner,
Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay und Sauvignon Blanc grape varieties. They are
fermented under temperature-controlled conditions and matured in
stainless steel tanks. Our special quality sweet wines are produced from
Muskat Ottonel (late vintage) and Pinot Blanc (selected fully ripe grapes).
Red wines
Approximately 40% of the vineyard is planted with red wine vines:
Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir as well as Cabernet Sauvignon.
They are partly matured in the traditional manner and partly in barriques
and the acid is reduced using an organic process. Our top wine, with its
the protected brand name of Phönix (Phoenix), is a red wine cuvee
matured in barrique casks. The phoenix, which can be found on our
family coat of arms, represents stability, loyalty and thoroughness.
